About Hansen Events
My name is Lily Hansen and I am the founder of Hansen Weddings and Events. I have grown up with a huge family, so coordinating details comes naturally to me. I now am the mother of a wonderful baby girl, Kensley, and another beautiful baby coming April of 2025. Family is important to me and if we work together you will become my family as well. That being said your important day becomes my important.
As the oldest sister you learn to become the go to person for your parents. I became my mothers mini me and helped her with absolutely everything all the way to the smallest detail. That is how I know I can be the perfect person for you. No task is too big or too small.
I planned my wedding all by myself, with a little input from my husband, to make our day as special as our connection. The certain flowers and colors I wanted were not common nor come together in bouquets and boutonnieres. So I made all the decorations and flower arrangements myself, DIY is so much cheaper. We even did our own food, well my husbands boss smoked some pork for us to have a nacho bar and it was delicious. Photos of our wedding day are in my portfolio, I had certain photos I wanted so I was even directing the amazing photographer exactly what I wanted, they came out amazing.
I was not sure about becoming an event planner until coordinating my sisters wedding day. There was so much needing to be put together and she looked very flustered with all the questions and people needing things. As the big sister I asked her if she would like for me to help and take charge so she could focus on relaxing and getting ready, you know women need their time to look amazing! Well of course she said yes! So I took charge, got the groomsman doing set up and bridesmaids touching up little details and arranging decorations on tables, chairs, and any other detail that came up. Directing the photographers and getting up the get ready room, my sister had this perfect little outfit for her perfect little man, Pax. After the day was over and the dust had settled, as they say, I realized if I could, on the spot, become a coordinator all while feeding my daughter, making sure she took her naps, and when she was awake have her on my hip directing people and getting my sister down the isle, I knew that I could do this.
Planning your day will become all about what you want to have or happen. After all it was how I wanted my day to go and how my sister wanted hers to go, so why should that be any different than your big day!
